The Pope Joke

The Pope goes to New York, and gets picked up at the airport by a limousine. He looks at the beautiful car and says to the driver, “You know, I hardly ever get to drive. Would you please let me?”

The driver is understandably hesitant and says, “I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’m supposed to do that.”

But the Pope persists, “Please?”

The driver finally lets up, “Oh, alright, I can’t really say no to the Pope.”

So the Pope takes the wheel, and boy, is he a speed demon! He hits the gas and goes around 100 mph in a 45 zone. A policeman notices and pulls him over. The cop walks up and asks the Pope to wind the window down. Startled and surprised, the young officer asks the Pope to wait a minute. He goes back to his patrol car and radios the chief.

Cop: Chief, I have a problem.

Chief: What sort of problem?

Cop: Well, you see, I pulled over this guy for driving way over the speed limit, but it’s someone really important.

Chief: Important like the mayor?

Cop: No, no, much more important than that.

Chief: Important like the governor?

Cop: Way more important than that.

Chief: Like the president?

Cop: Much more important.

Chief: “Who’s more important than the president?”

Cop: “I don’t know but he has the Pope DRIVING for him!”

Why A Business Fails

Many businesses end up being failures and there are many reasons why it happens. The biggest reason why businesses fail is poor management – the owners lack expertise, knowledge/understanding and skills in particular business related areas like finance, employee management, production, purchasing and many others. Fortunately, it is easy to avoid this pitfall by simply admitting to yourself what you lack then seek help, educate yourself and learn so that you can avert the failure of your business.

Neglect can also be a reason for downfall and that is the second most know reason for failed businesses. A business is not something you can just put up and leave to operate on its own. It has to be taken cared of regularly. You have to study and study, especially about your market, your customer and many other data that would keep your business afloat.

A common reason why a business fails is insufficient capital. In running a business, a good amount of money is needed. The amount should be enough not just to start the business but to make it stay in operation for a long time. In other words, you need to prepare enough funds to cover the costs until your sales would be enough to pay for it.

A business may fail if you have zero business plans. You know, when it comes to running a business you should have a plan to make sure your business runs efficiently. You need a plan on how you could face potential problems. You need a plan on how you could manage your business’ finances. You need a plan against your competition. You need a plan for marketing and promotions. You need a plan for many other business related issues.

Location is vital in putting up a business. A good location will enable a business to thrive and survive while a poor choice of location will lead to a business’ downfall even with good management. When choosing a location consider the traffic, accessibility, customers, competitors, parking, lighting, condition of the building, history and community.

Last possible reason that could lead to a failed business is not adapting to the latest trend in marketing. Nowadays, it is the age of small business online marketing services and a lot of businesses still can’t see how effective this is when it comes to getting customers. And usually, those who failed to see its effectiveness end up losing customers, losing profit and losing their businesses.

Anyone who has experienced losing their business would understand what I would say next. Losing a business is a huge heartbreaking moment. This is why as much as possible avoid it from ever happening.
